Alex in German.
Who says the Germans don't have a sense of humour?
Alex used to appear in the FT Deutschland. We pitied the poor person who had to translate the cartoon into German each day.
We once asked him what he did when we wrote a strip about cricket (a game the Germans don’t play or understand). He replied that he just made it about golf..
This collection of cartoons was published in 2005. Google translate tells us that the title of the books means “Banker, bonuses and stock market madness” but if you’re considering buying it you’ll speak German and already know that. The FT Deutschland folded in 2012.
