CYRUS is Alex’s current boss. A God-fearing, humourless, workaholic American he represents most of the things that Alex abhors about modern corporate culture. Alex has constant run-ins with him over his expenses claims and Clive regularly berates him over his use of American business jargon. Cyrus enjoys subjecting his team to corporate bonding exercises. Of late he has put aside his sad, friendless, workaholic ways and embarked on a risqué affair with Clive’s wife Bridget.
